New Replacement Windows
There are numerous steps in the process of replacing windows in your home. Fortunately, as your manufacturer and window installation company, we take care of everything for you, except the fun part — picking out your favorite designs and colors. We ensure you know exactly what will happen next in each step of window selection, ordering, and installation.
Window Selection and Ordering
First, an Energy Shield window design specialist will help you find exactly what you want for each window opening in each room. Second, your sales representative will help you schedule a date for your certified Energy Shield windows installer to visit for measurements of all your windows to be replaced and to schedule your installation date.
Your Preparations for Window Installation
Here are the things you can do to make your home window installation go smoothly. In the days just before your installation date, just take these few easy steps:
- Inside your house: Move furniture and other obstacles to clear a path to each window for installers carrying equipment and tools. Remove drapes, blinds, etc. Disconnect security alarm sensors from window frames or glass to be replaced. Remove wall decor near windows to protect them.
- Outside your house: Move outdoor furniture, potted plants, toys, etc. away from windows to be replaced. Move vines, trim shrubs, etc., to provide access to windows.
- Other preparations: Arrange to keep children safely away from the work areas. Secure pets in an area where they cannot wander into the work area and be at risk of injury or present a trip hazard for installers.
Construction Permits for Window Installation
A permit is only required in Arizona if you’re remodeling or adding square footage to your home. If other permits are required, for example, from your Homeowner Association (HOA), your Energy Shield installation specialist will advise you on who is responsible for obtaining a particular permit.
Installing Your Windows
Your installer(s) will cover the walking path and the work area with drop cloths to protect your flooring. They’ll also cover large furniture to protect it too. Finally, they will clean up carefully after completing the window installation work to ensure that any area they’ve worked in or walked through is as clean and tidy as it was when they arrived.
Timeframe for Your Window Installation
Replacing a window usually takes from 15 to 30 minutes. To help the window installation process go as smoothly, quickly, and safely as possible, complete the preparatory steps noted above in the section “Your Preparations for Window Installation.”
How Much Will Replacement Window Installation Cost?
The cost of installing one window depends on the size, style, and other factors. If you plan to have multiple windows, you have replaced, depending on how many, you can save on the installation cost. We offer excellent financing opportunities. We also provide an estimate of your window installation cost before you order your windows. That way, you’ll know exactly how much you’ll be paying without any risk of surprises.
